Sinfonietta: Eight uninterrupted character sketches is written in celebration of the musical leaders of the composer’s community over the last 25-30 years. It is dedicated to all board members of the ensemble in general, and to eight key board members in particular, who were greatly involved in the creation and establishment of the Louisiana Sinfonietta as a vital group in the composer’s city. The composition portrays the personality of these eight individuals from the point of view of the composer.
