Landscape VI – Rhapsody for harp and strings

The series of Landscape compositions describe various images of the land of the composer’s birth as crystallized in his mind over time. This work, Rhapsody, is inspired by the rhapsodies of Homer’s Iliad.

Rhapsody was commissioned by Eleftherios Kalkanis, Music Director of the Municipality Symphony Orchestra of the City of Athens, for a concert of new works by Greek composers presented in Athens in 2002.
