Homage to Cyprus for string orchestra

Homage to Cyprus for string orchestra is based on a Greek folk tune and employs modal scales and rhythms that are abundant in Greek folk music. It was written at the suggestion of the Ambassador of Cyprus to the United States, Honorable Euripides Evriviades.
