Percussion Quartet No. 2

Percussion Quartet No. 2 was commissioned by LSU Percussion Professor Brett Dietz. It uses many percussion instruments and it employs compositional techniques used by the Polish school of composition. Sound effects are very important, as are many designs. Repetitions and density leading to climaxes and reposes highlights the various ideas of the work.

This composition was produced by hand by the composer. His very talented PhD student in composition and Graduate Assistant, Niloufar Iravani, made the computer version.
