Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Orchestra

The Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Orchestra was completed in June of 2017 for Isaac and Luis Casal. It was commissioned by the Festival Alfredo de Saint Malo to be presented in Panama in 2018. This work is based upon the personal experiences and associations of the composer. In all sections, the entire composition is a constant transformation of a single motive that the composer remembers from his youth, when he played violin for the Greek cinema. Divided into three parts, the piece portrays three different scenes of simple, everyday happenings.
